we took a holiday tour of laurel hill cemetery, the second largest victorian "garden" cemetery in the country. it's astoundingly beautiful.
we strayed a bit from our tour group, and wandered around alone, afraid of our own shadows, and without a flashlight.
some of these memorials are practically small cottages, with yards and gates. it's quite something. as we left the premises, we saw, in a parking lot, two police squad cars training their lights on what appeared to be a fox, trotting across the blacktop.
